An object on the surface of the earth produces acceleration due to gravity that is equal to 9.8 meters per second square. The value depends on the mass of the planet, the radius of the planet, and the universal gravitational constant between the object and planet. On calculating the value of “g” by using the data on earth we can find the result to be 9.8 meters per second square.
